Performance
There are two powertrains offered for the Genesis GV60.
- A single-electric motor with RWD — the Standard trim produces 225 hp.
- A dual-electric motor with AWD — the Advanced model outputs 314 hp, while the Performance trim outputs 429 hp.
Design
The midsize GV60 is a modern SUV that has a modern aesthetic with a very advanced cabin. For instance, the center console can flip upside down when parked to give it a unique appearance. There's also facial recognition to allow different drivers to unlock and start the vehicle without needing a key. Plus, there is a biometric fingerprint reader for keyless entry.
Technology
When sitting in the cabin, Baltimore and Arlington drivers will find plenty of tech throughout. There's a 12.3-inch digital gauge and a 12.3-inch touchscreen that's connected to the same panel. The touchscreen offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a navigation system as standard equipment. And for audio lovers, there's a premium Bang & Olufsen stereo system with exceptional sound quality that allows you to listen to your favorite music or podcasts.
Safety
Complimenting the GV60's suite of tech is an abundance of safety features, both standard and optional. In the base trim, there's automated emergency braking, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic warning, and adaptive cruise control. Higher trims can offer Alexandria and Washington DC customers a surround-view camera system, automated and remote parking assist, and a blind-spot monitor.
Charging & Range
All GV60 models use a 77.4-kWh battery pack. However, according to the EPA, trims and tires are a factor in the vehicle's range. When tested, it was found that the Standard model with the rear-wheel-drive has the best range at 294 miles. The Advanced trim with all-wheel drive gets an estimated 248 miles, while the Performance trim has an estimated 235 miles.
Genesis also says the GV60's battery can be charged from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes. However, it only happens when hooked to a DC fast-charging station.
